Tromso, Norway, also known as the Paris of the North, is full of beautiful buildings. The surrounding snowy mountains make it even more beautiful. The sun is not up very long this time of year, so I've been taking a lot of night shots!

When I was in Tromso, Norway, which is a couple of hundred kilometers inside the Arctic Circle, I had a chance to go out one night to see the stunning Northern Lights. They were incredibly intense and at times it was as if you could reach up and touch them (but they are several hundred kilometers above the earth)!

The Arctic Cathedral stand out against the snow covered winter mountains in Tromsdalen, just across the river from Tromso, Norway. I caught this shot in the couple hours of daylight this time of year (sunrise at around 11:30 a. m. and sunset at around 1:20 p.m.). Tromso is a little over 200 miles inside the Arctic Circle and it definitely feels like the Arctic!

The most stunning display of the Northern Lights I have seen was in the Arctic Circle during my trip to Norway. The lights were incredible intense and danced all over the sky for hours!
