The kings court had many Jesters, knaves and Bards, one of them was the so called "Mellow-Jester" ha was called as such because he was a pre-mime kind of show!
He never spoke when sober, that is why many believed that he was mute at first!
But as soon as he gets some wine graced his lips he would start talking about everything annoying any one else at the feast!
That is why the always gave him plenty of wine before the feast until passed out for a while then the entire party was held secretly in the dungeon under the castle. (without him)
this is a scene where he has woken up and wanted to talk to some one, any one, still intoxicated, but as always no one were to be found... were is everyone???
