Went up to Glen alps tonight to take pictures of the cloud inversion. Fancy way of saying I went to look at fog. Along the way I stopped to take this picture of the full moon. Mostly I liked the shadow that were created from the railing that leads to the top of the trail.

The end of a very disappointing night. As you can see the northern lights are peeking out from behind the clouds. The last two days the skies have been clear during the day. As soon as nightfall the clouds move back in.

This is a sunrise photo, but it's not about the the sunrise. When I saw the wind swept pattern in the snow I immediately stopped in my tracks to get a picture. The angle of the sun really brought out the lights and shadows.

Another angle of the hillside sunset. I tried to capture more color on the ground to match the colors in the sky. I just moved a few feet to the side and was able to capture the small red plant and yellow flowers.
