I included this picture from my trip to Exit glacier, This was the forest that was at the base of the mountain where Exit glacier is at. This section of forest created a beautiful green canopy that filtered the light from the sun.
UPDATE: This is the same path that president Obama walked when he came to Alaska and hiked exit glacier. For the global warming conference

Got up very early to catch the sunrise in Seward, Alaska. The forecast called for rain tomorrow. In the past beautiful sunrises usually happen the day before. So I took a chance and got up at 4am to take the 2hour drive to Seward. Very big risk, but this time it worked in my favor.

Lowell Point recreational trailhead located in Seward, Alaska. The beginning of a awesome hike to south beach and the old military fort I have yet to take.
