I originally stopped at this spot to take pictures of the cool pattern that the frost had made on the sand. After a few shots I looked down and to my surprise I was standing on bear tracks, I followed the bear tracks in the sand for a little bit. Then I thought, "Do I really want to run into a bear?' The cool patterns aren't water. It is actually frost on top of the ridges of the sandy river bank.

There were quite a few people out fishing for salmon on the Knik river. At 2:00 am in the middle of the week you would think that there would be lees people.
