I tagged along on a caribou hunting trip. We were camped out along the Denali Highway. Unfotunately there were way too many hunters and too few caribou. In our down time I shot a few pictures of the tundra and surrounding area. We mainly ended up picking the blueberries, low bush cranberries, and crowberries.

I had to climb down the steep embankement that is on the right. Then cross the spongy, wet sod that makes up the tundra. Once i got to the edge of the water a female mallard burst out of the tall grass. At the top of the steep embankement on the right is the dusty, rocky, pothole cover denali Highway.
