A year ago today, I heard about Jennifer. I know exactly where I was when I found out. I had just parked the car on Manor Road and was going to grab a couple of slices for lunch at Joe and Pat’s. Comfort food when you need comfort was one of the odd signs from the universe she was no doubt sending out. I was working in Brooklyn Heights that day and wound up parking by the promenade. I set there after I was done on a bench looking at the city and wound up taking some photos. I went and grabbed dinner with a good friend at my favorite spot in Chinatown, since comfort food is comforting. While I was waiting for them I was able to grab some photos of the Municipal Building, perhaps my favorite Building in the entire city. I somehow felt her energy. Photography can be comforting. Photography is how we found each other which lead to finding even more amazing people. Jennifer is the centre of an amazing nexus of art and love. I sometimes feel her energy when I am behind the camera. She is with all of us.
