Tremont, GSMNP

This little tree was essentially a trunk and a single main branch... its roots were largely exposed on top of a boulder by the river. Might not even survive a few more seasons, yet, here it was, proudly ablaze. Enjoyed the cloudy conditions and light rain for my Tremont shoot.

Ohhhh, so that's why they named it "Dry" Falls... because you can walk behind it :).

This wonderful sky literally started to develop while I was positioning the tripod. Prior, it was just totally overcast until the wind suddenly rearranged the clouds. So lucky. Took a two shot blend to get the sky for this one...
