Over the years of shooting in Paris I've found that I have a number of photos from this strip of open park that borders the Tuileries on the north and runs into the end of the north wing of the Louvre (Musee de la Mode...).

It's often the most deserted part of the gardens and it's here you'll sometimes find the Ferris Wheel, a carnival, or a kids' soccer game.

Looking down on no one. Il n'y a personne.

Part of the set The Lonely Chairs of the Tuileries.

November 2007 in Paris. The transportation strike continued and widened, closing down the Metro, the buses, and the RER. Businesses and parks were deserted, even on a magnificent autumn day, when normally you would be hard pressed to find a vacant chair.
