More Sphecodes from the Adirondack Mountains of New York. There are many species of Sphecodes. They look remarkably the same. Females, like this one, inevitably have red butts and the rest about small sculptural differences. I have a very hard time differentiating them and will be traveling to the American Museum in New York to look at the wonderful collection of Sphecodes that John Ascher recently curated. Can a boy have more fun than that?
