This is another tiny true bug (Heteroptera, Hemiptera) cuddling with a nymph of the some sort in a boat-like seed capsule of Southern Bush Monkeyflower (Diplacus longiflorus, Phrymaceae) in the woods today, see my photo yesterday. I suspect the bugs are Plant Bug in the family Miridae. I've found many different kinds of insects and spiders in these old seed capsules, try a search of my photos. This is the another web of a Orb-Weaver Spider (Araneidae) strung between old seed whorls of native Black Sage (Salvia mellifera, Lamiaceae) in the woods today. The web is smaller than a CD disk. (San Marcos Pass, 22 January 2025)
