A beautiful hike to the this lookout at the tip of the Marin Headlands was rewarded by decent visibility.

This is a panorama stitched together from 8 vertical shots. The polarizing filter cut through the inevitable haze. The two yellow planes were actually a single plane, the only testimony to this picture not being a single shot taken with a 50 MP camera.

How to get to this spot without a car: take the #10 bus of the Golden Gate Transit system from downtown (Mission street) to the visitor center at the North end of the bridge; from there it is about a 1 hour hike (don't forget to ask the bus driver to point out the bus stop for the return trip to you - it isn't obvious).
