Since the new slope pieces are still not available in white, I decided to build my R8 Spyder in red again.

Here is the last version of the R8 I have currently build.
This is Tony Stark's R8 from "Iron Man 2" carrying the model of the Stark Expo (reference picture).

I actually really like the Speed Champions product line. I love cars. That's why I love licensed cars out of LEGO even more. A lot of people don't like the series because it relies heavily on stickers and the cars are completely out of proportion. I don't mind the stickers too much and, since the models are meant to be played with, it is clear why they are build sturdy instead of perfectly accurate.

Therefore I wanted to make the cars more realistic by completely changing the proportions while keeping as much from the original set as possible. The first model is the Audi R8 LMS ultra, since I already had the R8 design.

The model is basically the R8 I showed previously with the addition of the stickered parts from the set. The enormous rear wing is redesigned to better represent the original one. Since the front fascia and the rear are just made up of big stickers I thought about replacing them with the design I used on the R8 e-tron. I decided against it because:
1. It is closer to the original set
2. The stickers look pretty good and fitting in my opinion
3. It further differentiates this version from my other R8 models

I hope you like it and I would love to hear your feedback!
I plan on rebuilding some more (probably not all) of the Speed Champion sets, so stay tuned!
