Andalusia is located in southern
Spain and covers an area of 8 provinces. Andalusia is the second largest autonomous region in Spain. Beautiful Andalucía, the land of olives, oranges, sunflowers, beautiful mountain ranges and valleys, nice white mountain villages with beautiful squares, is a bridge between two continents, Africa and Europe, and is the point where the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea meet. There is something for everyone in Andalusia, from culture to beautiful terraces, sights, long beaches, beautiful inland areas with beautiful reservoirs, mountains and nice villages to visit. The capital of Andalusia is Seville.
Nerja is a resort town along southern Spain's Costa del Sol. This typical Andalusian white village is nestled on an attractive, rocky coastline – with several excellent beaches – and hugged by the scenic Sierra Almijara Mountains. Its seafront promenade,
Balcón de Europa, tops a promontory with views of the Mediterranean and surrounding mountains. Below it lie sandy beaches and cliffside coves.
Located in the historic centre of Nerja is the Balcón de Europa, or Balcony of Europe. This fascinating spot is the focal point of Nerja and a great viewpoint over the sea and surrounding scenery. Built on a rocky promontory above the beach, the viewpoint was originally a fortress, built to keep out British pirates. Nerja is een badplaats aan de Costa del Sol in Zuid-Spanje. Dit typisch Andalusische witte dorp ligt aan een aantrekkelijke, rotsachtige kustlijn - met verschillende uitstekende stranden - en wordt omringd door het schilderachtige Sierra Almijara-gebergte. De boulevard,
Balcón de Europa, staat bovenaan een kaap met uitzicht op de Middellandse Zee en de omliggende bergen. Daaronder liggen zandstranden en kliffen. Deze fascinerende plek is het middelpunt van Nerja. Gebouwd op een rotsachtig voorgebergte boven het strand, was het uitzichtpunt oorspronkelijk een fort, gebouwd om Britse piraten buiten te houden.
