Roxborough State Park, located in Douglas County 15 miles south of Littleton, is a 3,339-acre Colorado State Natural Area filled with dramatic red-rock formations, distinct plant communities, and a host of wildlife ranging from black bears to mule deer. Established in 1975, it is the only state park designated by the US Department of the Interior as a National Natural Landmark.
