Jaz (Franco Fasoli) began his career as a graffiti writer working the streets of Buenos Aires in the mid 1990's. After moving away from letter based graffiti, he began experimenting with techniques and scale in Argentine culture-inspired figurative pieces. By blending materials like asphaltic paint and petrol, Jaz was able to paint large murals that had the look of delicate watercolor paintings. Recently, his focus has been on abstract representations of football hooliganism with Mexcian "lucha libre" style wrestlers in animal masks and part-man/part-beast figures grappling in combat.
