Crossroads of the World, the central building at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Prospect Avenue in Disney's Hollywood Studios, sells general merchandize including souvenirs, cameras, rainwear and sundries. It is designed after the streamline-moderne central building of Crossroads of the World, located at Sunset Boulevard and Las Palmas in Los Angeles. Designed by Robert V. Derrah in 1936, it has been called America's first outdoor shopping mall. The Disney version is topped by a five-foot Mickey Mouse, with one of Mickey's ears functioning as a lightning rod.

The Darkroom, presented by Nikon, located at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Prospect Avenue in Disney's Hollywood Studios, offers photography and magic band services. It is modeled after a 1938 art deco building on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles by the same name. Originally a camera shop, it is one of the city's last remaining examples of programmatic architecture—the fade of the original features a nine-foot-tall Argus camera.

Oscar's Super Service, located at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Prospect Avenue in Disney's Hollywood Studios, offers lockers and sells auto-related memorabilia and postage stamps and rents strollers and wheelchairs. Oscar's is a reproduction of a full-service Art Deco gas station from the 1940's.
