Kmart closed in the '90s and in the '00s time frame, Sears moved to the old Kmart space to allow Bass Pro to move in to the mall. Sears closed in January 2015.
This was the first Bass Pro in NY state making it a tourist attraction. (Literally, I noticed the NY thruway has this listed under attractions for the area!) But a smaller location has since opened near Utica and there are plans to open a Bass Pro over in Victor.
This had helped the mall a little, but now the mall is slowly going downhill again, especially with Sears closing in January. For more details on this mall, see the Fingerlakes Mall album description.
