Albertsons Florida Blog did a similar thing with the stores in Florida, and that inspired me to do this. Expect a NY map of current Kmart locations tomorrow or Wednesday.
It is my goal to visit most of the Kmart locations above I-80 in PA for sure. There are a few locations that I'm willing to travel to that are below I-80. Stroudsburg, Mt. Ponoco, Matamoras, Hermitage and Honesdale are locations that I probably won't visit unless a certain condition arises for me to be in the area.
The Rochester and Warren Kmart locations closed in December 2014 making the most recent closings. Even with these two closings, PA still has the second highest number of current operating Kmart locations at 84. California has the most locations of any state.

It is my goal to visit most of the Kmart locations to the west of I-81 in NY for sure.
The most recent closing is in De Witt, which will be closing this month. And before that, Kmart pretty much abandoned the Albany market last year and closed their Fulton location as well. As of today, there is a total of 45 currently operating stores.
