Lake McArthur

Hiking from Lake O'Hara campground to Lake McArthur is a 10 km round trip. We started it in the morning and stopped at Schaffer Lake in the middle of the way and took some photos there. When we got to Lake McArthur, we were already behind our big group. So, I was little rush and wanted to catch up our group. While I was calling our guide Jerry to lead us out, I found him on the other side of the lake walking toward us. He told us that he has a secret spot there and he and other people in our group just shot some photos there. So, we ask him to bring us to there too. After we finished shooting, we walked along the lake shore and enjoyed the beautiful view. When I looked at the blue lake with a perfect reflection, I couldn't tell where was water and where was sky. All I wanted at the moment was to walk into it. So, I asked Jerry to pose for me so that I could capture this memorable moment.

Yoho National Park, Canada

This a lake is in Lake O'Hara area. The trail from Lake O'Hara camping ground to the lake is about 5 km and 310 m elevation gain.

On the way to McArthur Lake we went through a valley with a lot of larch trees. The lake below is Schaffer lake.

Vermilion Lakes, Banff, Canada

There are many lakes in Vermilion Lakes area, large or small, and you have to find one that works with background and foreground, or whatever you like. It was happened I found this very small lake. It was so quite and I could get reflections like a mirror.

The background mountain is Brokeback Mountain in the movie with the same name.

This is another version of McArthur Lake. At this side of lake, water looks more blue than the other parts of the lake.
