Daybreak - North Carolina Blue Ridge Parkway Landscape Photography Asheville NC
A beautiful summer morning sunrise over the spring mountain laurel flower blooms at Craggy Gardens along the Blue Ridge Parkway just north of Asheville, NC. Spring flowers come late to the higher altitudes in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, making the month of June one of my favorite times of the year to be on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cool mornings and gorgeous scenic mountain views over blooming catawba rhododendron and mountain laurel flowers is a landscape photographer's dream, and the memories made are well worth all of the early morning wake up calls.
