Autumn Maple Trees Fall Foliage
An autumn storm of maple leaves falls beneath a bright yellow maple tree during the fall foliage just outside of Hendersonville, NC in Western North Carolina. This image is one of my personal faves, and it took a bit of patience to capture it. I waited for a couple of hours through the rapidly changing light and gusty conditions for the right moment when the wind gusts produced this storm of bright yellow autumn colored leaves in the air. I also got really lucky with the squirrels, how many can you find?
