Lowcountry Lane - Deep South Charleston South Carolina Edisto Island Scenic Landscape
I had a blast with a great group of folks at this year's annual Spring in Charleston photography workshop, and we saw some beautiful scenes during our time in the lowcountry. Spring flowers were everywhere this year, and this dirt road lined with the blooming azalea flowers and dogwood trees under a canopy of tall southern pines was just what the doctor ordered after the long cold winter. Hope you enjoy the view!

The Road Home - Edisto Island South Carolina Dirt Road Landscape Charleston SC
Morning light under the canopy of live oak trees along Botany Bay Road on Edisto Island, SC. The ACE Basin in South Carolina is one of the largest undeveloped estuaries along the Atlantic Coast of the United States, and the natural beauty of the dense live oak forest dripping in spanish moss in this region is an outdoor photographer's paradise. I've spent the last couple days transferring some older archives to new backup drives and this frame from Botany Bay from a few years ago caught my eye so I figured I'd develop it and upload it. Hope you enjoy this view of the beautiful SC lowcountry y'all!

Roots and Wings - Charleston SC Angel Oak Tree South Carolina Landscape
The ancient Angel Oak Tree on John's Island near Charleston, South Carolina. I shot this image while leading my recent Spring in Charleston landscape photography workshop. One of the oldest things in North America either living or man made, some estimates have this amazing live oak tree dated as old as 1500 years.

Charleston SC Edisto Island South Carolina - Botany Bay Road
Dirt road lined with live oaks at the entrance to Botany Bay Plantation on Edisto Island just south of Charleston, SC. The plantation's history, nature, boneyard beach, lowcountry landscapes and more at Botany Bay are amazing. This is a wonderful place to visit if you are in the area near Charleston SC. Charleston SC Plantation Live Oaks - Avenue of Oaks
Avenue of Oaks on an old plantation near Charleston SC. The grand entry lane to this lowcountry plantation near Charleston SC features an amazing avenue of oaks dripping with spanish moss lining the drive, really showcasing the grandeur of plantation life in the old south.
