Autumn at Silver Run Falls - North Carolina Waterfall Photography

Got to enjoy a nice autumn afternoon at Silver Run Falls with my autumn waterfalls group last fall. We had decent colors in the fall foliage and nice soft light at this location for once instead of the harsh sunlight that's common here. After a somewhat long and boring winter without any snow to speak of in the Southern Appalachians, cabin fever is starting to set in and I'm really looking forward to getting back out into the field. Hope to see you all out there sometime soon, enjoy the view! ;-)

Great Smoky Mountains Gatlinburg TN - Lush

The Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail outside of Gatlinburg follows this lovely small river through endless cascades and lush green foliage in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains of eastern Tennessee.

WNC Waterfall Landscape Photography - Harmony

A small waterfall in Western North Carolina. I've shot this waterfall before so some of you may recognize it as the waterfalls in my image "Divine Cascade".

I shot this image during one of my digital photography workshops recently on a day that we didn't have very good conditions for much of anything. With the clear skies and poor weather conditions we had, I took my workshop down into a gorge where we found some shade for some nice waterfall shots. Unfortunately the shade didn't last very long and the sun creeped into the bottom of the gorge within minutes after I shot this photo.
