They had a lot of non-automotive stuff which came into their hands, probably largely from donations. Perhaps some of it, like the stuff on and around cars, is to contextualize them within history, while others, like those at the front away from the cars, seem out of place, and I'm sure are simply from donations.
IMO, they aren't necessary, and would go better in another museum.
Nevertheless, I like old stuff, so I still enjoyed seeing them. :)

The museum, built in the 1920’s and established in 1961, is located in a former car dealership. There are approximately 65 vehicles dating from 1898 to 1981, showcasing the development of the automobile. The building contains its original freight elevator.
