Lake Michigan, circa minus 15c with a wind chill factor well in excess of that... With so much ice around, it's not always clear where the land stops and the lake starts.... Just a few inches to the left, the lake was heaving pretty heavily and creating mini 'ice booms' every now and again -- note: must get some little crampons for the feet of my tripod! -- so there was a heady dose of awe and fear as I took in one of the most captivating skylines I have experienced.
