User / WSDOT / Little Bear Creek Culvert Replacement
Washington State Dept of Transportation / 33,699 items
Beginning in June 2016, contractor crews will replace the culvert that carries Little Bear Creek under SR 202/131st Avenue in Woodinville.

The culvert is too small and the water is too swift for fish.

To replace the culvert, WSDOT will drill down through the top of SR 202 to place columns for a bridge Then SR 202 will be dug up to reveal the tops of the columns so a flat top can be placed atop the columns. The bridge will then be buried under seven-eight feet of fill and SR 202 repaved. Then contractors will head down into the creek and start excavating from underneath to reveal the bottom of this new buried bridge and remove the old culvert.
