A key portion of this project added new pavement in the highway median. The new pavement allows crews to ultimately slightly shift both lanes of northbound US 101 at Taylor Towne in Mason County.
The reconfiguration and new roadway striping will relocate the area where Lynch Road drivers stop before crossing US 101.
This enhancement will bolster sight distance for Lynch Road drivers crossing northbound US 101 to reach southbound US 101. The new asphalt also creates the new roadway where drivers will have acceleration lanes for Lynch Road drivers accessing both directions of US 101.
