Starting in spring of 2019, WSDOT contractor crews will spend two years repainting and making repairs on Deception Pass and Canoe Pass bridges along State Route 20. Deception Pass State Park and all businesses in the area will remain open during construction. The painting work will be noisy and crews will tenting off sections of the bridge to keep paint and other debris contained. One sidewalk across the bridge will close for most of this work but access for vehicles and pedestrians will always be available.
