In this photo, contractor crews are doing grading on southbound SR 9. Traffic was able to use SR 9 southbound during the day for most of the five-day closure and traffic is seen heading south on the left side of the photo.
In August 2022, contractor crews working for WSDOT closed a section of State Route 9 in Snohomish to build a roundabout in five days. A process that normally takes several months.
