This is a closeup view of the containment system around the area that must be repaired on the SR 410 White River Bridge between Enumclaw and Buckley.

An overhead steel beam on the bridge was damaged after it was struck by an over-height vehicle.

Because the bridge has lead-based paint, a containment system is required to protect the White River and workers.

The workers must scrape off the paint and then the steel beam will be slowly straightened and resecured to the bridge.

The damage was discovered during a routine inspection on Saturday, April 4, 2015.

White spray paint indicates the areas where paint will need to be scraped off the bridge so that full repairs can be made to the damaged beam.

Look closely at the bottom of the horizontal beam and where it connects to the vertical beam. When the over-height load struck the bridge, it partially tore the beam away.

The damage to the SR 410 White River Bridge between Enumclaw and Buckley was discovered during a routine inspection on Saturday, April 4, 2015. The damage is severe enough to force the closure of the bridge until temporary repairs are completed.
