Cast iron milestone on the Brighton Road, Godalming, Surrey. Two miles to Godalming (to the left, north), eighteen miles from Horsham (from the right, south) and thirty eight miles to Brighton. Made by Williams & Filmer, Guildford - and hollow!

This milestone is outside the car park of Winkworth Arboretum (National Trust).

York City Fire Brigade's river rescue unit up to it's hubs in flood water after the heavy rain on 18th July has reached York. Not sure what is going on here but a full fire engine and two paramedic units have been here from time to time - rescue in the river, perhaps?
