I met Melissa (also in this photo) at a show this past spring, and she's helped me with some shoots and has modeled for me for a clothing company shoot this summer. We finally realized that we had to get together to do a REAL shoot, so we took advantage of a 60 degree November day on Tuesday!

My favorite model/good friend Casey Carlson is moving to Los Angeles in two weeks, so we had to get in at least one more shoot before she left. We're hoping to still do another, as well. She is absolutely phenomenal to work with. And we work so well TOGETHER! We love the same type of hair/makeup/fashion, we see completely eye-to-eye on what looks best for her, and I swear she can read my mind. She does exactly what I want her to do right as I'm thinking of what I want to tell her! We're already trying to start to plan a trip to LA for me for early spring. I can't wait! :)

I am sooo in love with the photos in this whole set. This is totally the look/styling/vibe that I've been wanting to do for so long!

Due to the cold weather and continuing car problems, I've hardly done any shooting in the past month and a half! But I did just release my "December" set of Photoshop actions on Tuesday! This is a photo of Casey from last winter, and I used "Chestnut" along with "Merriment" at 25% beneath it.

"December" is a set of 12 actions, made using a combination of adjustment layers (including curves, color balance, gradient maps, color fills, and more). The set also includes two additional actions for brightening or darkening using curves. Check out more at www.sarakiesling.com/actions :)

Jenna is an actress/filmmaker currently living in Los Angeles that was referred to me by her high school friends, Casey Carlson & Angie Voreis (you can find plenty of photos of them on my stream, and Angie did Jenna's makeup for this shoot). Jenna was in Minnesota visiting her family for the holidays, so we set up a shoot for Tuesday. It was really warm (in the 30s) but hiking through 2 feet of snow (being just 5'3) was a little difficult. I dropped my 50mm f/1.4 in the snow...and all of my gear got a little wet...but it was still a good time, and I love the photos!
