En Bretagne, entre le lac de Guerlédan et les Monts d'Arrée, se dressent un à un depuis plus de 10 ans des géants venus du confin de l'histoire. Sur le flanc d'une motte féodale située sur la commune de Carnoët, La Vallée des Saints a vu le jour en juillet 2008.
Ce projet collectif breton est porté par l’association du même nom qui a pour objectif "la sauvegarde, la découverte et la promotion de la culture populaire bretonne liée aux Saints bretons sous forme de création artistique".
Il y a, à ce jour, 161 statues implantées sur le site
L’association ambitionne d’y implanter 1000 sculptures monumentales taillées dans du granit breton en 100 ans, une véritable île de Pâques bretonne.
In Brittany, between Lake Guerlédan and the Monts d'Arrée, giants from the confines of history have risen one by one for more than 10 years. On the side of a feudal motte located in the town of Carnoët, La Vallée des Saints was born in July 2008.
This Breton collective project is carried out by the association of the same name, which aims to "safeguard, discover and promote Breton popular culture linked to Breton Saints in the form of artistic creation".
