Location: Mettnau, Radolfzell, Germany at sunset.

We had two cold but very sunny winterdays with blue sky.
I made some different long exposures of the sunset at my favourite place in the Mettnau Park. The longest was 7 minutes. As I said, for long exposure in the winter you need time, thick clothes and a hot tea. It was really cold. Today in the morning -7° C.

Yesterday I saw the third SUP paddler on the lake and I talked with him. Perhaps he was the first and the second too...;) But I will wait until March with paddling.

Hi guys, normally this view and photo from Steckborn in Switzerland at the Lake Constance is only to realize from a boat or ship. But I was there on a detour and I wanted to make a photo from the sunny atmosphere there. It was a real challenge to take it, because you have to know, that Steckborn is in the winter month a pretty fine ghosttown. So if I had fallen from the narrow rotten jetty, it had end with a dangerous male cold. So I was thinking and thinking and testing and trying to get on the the small rotten jetty. Luckily we have no sharks here and the water is not so deep near the shore. So I took my whole courage, while my brain was already working on a romantic title. It was Valentine's Day. At first I thought of "I kissed the Miss from Steckborn, where she was born". But later I met the Miss in a little wooden house, where people turn off old things to give away. Really a nice idea. So I was looking, took this and that book, read a little. I had a little black suitcase with my Canon and lenses by my side und my wonderful heavy Manfrotto tripod (to be able to carry it, I do gymnastic every day), when I was deep in reading a book. Seconds later I saw the Miss with her funky grey hair, carrying my suitcase away. Man oh man, I had something to do, to stop this disaster and to get back my camera suitcase. The old Miss was very kind and she gave it back to me. It could have been worse, because she was born in Steckborn, I think 80 years ago. So I quickly forgot my intended title for the photo and hasty I left the ghost town of Steckborn. I think I will not come back until the summer. With the kayak and the suitcase, I will always hold nice in my hand.

Good morning boys and girls,

If you had asked me three years ago about a photo like this, captured with blue and orange graduated hardware filters, I probable had answered „wow, but it does not look very naturally“. Three years later here and now I have to say that I love this style... haha! I know it sounds a bit stupid. For me it‘s a very personal kind of colourful minimalistic photography and if you would know me in real life, you would say that it‘s me. Photography for me is like own music or other creative doings a try to give all the passion and all the truth, good or bad, in a personal expression.

O.K. Back to earth. Actually I learn every day something new about photography and about looking ;) The location was Überlingen at the Lake Constance, a winter day in the pre-season. The fog layed sluggish on the lake. I for myself was jumping around like Tigger, fascinated of the atmosphere. A tingling sensation on the neck, feelings of happiness, zest for action, deep synchonisation with the atmosphere on the lake, almost love in the few details, a good conversation with a couple of swans. Exuberance mates with wet boots and dirty jeans. You would have to be able to fly over the scenery. My friend the tripod is just as in the water as me. I can cough tomorrow, today it is perceived as in a rush of colours and the silence of the mist. And back to earth again. Also and yes. Stay away from the drugs, buy a camera ...;))

Hi guys,

we have a lot of snow here over night. The weather is wet-cold and rainy so I think tomorrow the snow is complete thawed. Spring is not in sight, the weather changes every day. I'm curious about a little Mallorca trip in March. So I will fever to this little adventure of hiking in Cala Ratjada. The house sitter is ready for a vacation with the cat. Until this week of vacation I will colour the world around me for your and for my own good mood. I when I'm back it’s kayak time...:)))
