Wat Niwettham Prawat is situated at the end of the island in front of Bang Pa-In Palace . It was constructed by King Rama V in 1878 for use as a royal temple when he was staying at the palace. He decided to build a Buddhist temple in Western style in order to create something new and original. This is a Buddhist temple.

Phra Thinang Aisawan Thiphyasitting in the pond has become the "signature piece" of Bang Pa In. It is an elegant Thai-style pavilion in the middle of a pond with the title of "The divine seat of personal freedom." It is really the only example of classical Thai architecture within the palace and was built by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). It now houses a statue of him.
The yellow building on the left is the Phra Thinang Warophat Phiman which is a Neo-Classic style one-storey mansion built by King Chulalongkorn in 1876 as his residence and throne hall. The audience chambers and anterooms are decorated with oil paintings depicting significant events in Thai history and scenes from Thai literature.
Tevaraj-Kanlai Gate is the modern building which is partially seen to the right. This building has a more "Paris Metro" art-deco feel to it is the main residence of the palace.
