Recently, we moved to the suburbs of Las Vegas called South Highlands. This community has expanded into the hills and mountains to ever increase the valley called Las Vegas.

Although, it rarely rains in Las Vegas, when it does, it can cause catastrophic damage.

There are prominent foothills (Buffalo Rock) on the left side of this photo and many others surrounding Las Vegas. Near these foothills are the ever growing communities.

The Spring Mountains are a mountain range of Southern Nevada in the United States, running generally northwest–southeast along the west side of Las Vegas and south to the border with California. Most land in the mountains is owned by the United States Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management. (Wikipedia).
