Hverfjall is an ash volcano north-east of Myvatn, with a diameter of approx. 1 km, and looks like an enormous loudspeaker "sub-sub-sub-woofer". In large size you see hundreds of messages written by putting stones to form words or a giant heat.

I run along the edge, and on the far side I experienced the warmest weather on Iceland. The gray/black hillside faced against the warming sun, and the upwelling air was really worm, well above 20 deg. C.
