My first attempt at developing Provia at home with Rodinal and Unicolor. I re-rolled about half of this roll onto another canister in order to have two attempts at developing.
I tried developing Lomography X-Pro 200 at home with Rodinal and Unicolor without success, so I switched film. Provia worked well, although I had to "scan" the positives with my Ricoh GRIII, since my Epson V550 gave very soft and grainy images.
I don't plan on shooting much slide film, so I didn't want to buy any E6 chemistry. My Rodinal & Unicolor development went as followed:
1. Rodinal 1:25 at 38°C/102°F for 12 minutes
2. Wash Iford method
3. Fog for 3 minutes
4. Color developer at 38°C/102°F for 5 minutes
5. Stop with water
6. Blix at 38°C/102°F for 10 minutes
7. Wash Ilford method
8. Stabilizer 1 minute
9. Photoflo

Kodak Gold 200, my to go film.
Kodak Gold 200 is what I can get locally at the big box store for "cheap"; breaks down to $4.85 Canadian per roll of 24 exposures, so its good for someone who shoots a lot. I also like the warmth of the film; it feels sunny, plus it's got just the right amount of grain for me. It's given me reliable results, easy to develop and scan. I also prefer the 24 versus 36 exposure, because I can finish the roll faster, especially when I'm testing a camera, plus the shorter roll is easier to develop at home.
