Tomorrow, September 20th, is the Canadian Federal Election. I already voted; went grocery shopping on the 12th, then stopped at the advance poll, which was on my way back home anyway, and it took about 5 minutes, plus I took a quick photo, which became a double exposure from running the roll twice through my Zeiss Ikon Nettar 515.

Zeiss Ikon Nettar 515, test roll
Kodak Portra 400VC, expired 11/2008
Home developed in Unicolor/Argentix
Scanned with Epson V550

I wanted to try the 6x4.5 ratio, so I picked a Zeiss Ikon Nettar 515 for a reasonable price of $35 (plus $15 S&H). The camera is very clean, but I had two issues when shooting this test roll:

#1: The shutter works, but with limited speeds. B and T work, but all other speeds are the same, which from my test roll may be 1/175th. That's okay, because it meant I was able to get steady shots without using a tripod. Since the Portra I used was about 13 years expired, overexposing by one stop worked well. Using Sunny 16 rules, all I have to do is adjust aperture and focus.

#2: The camera has two frame windows and they're positioned on the upper portion of the back; however, the frame numbers on the Portra roll for 6x4.5 are on the bottom of the backing paper. The frame numbers on the top are for 6x9, and I didn't know that, so I was advancing too much between shots. It was weird when the numbers stopped after 8. Anyhow, I realized the issue, re-spooled the roll, and shot it again backwards/upside down, so last frame to frame #1.

Zeiss Ikon Nettar 515 and Argus A2B

The 515 was an eBay purchase I made and the A2B was a thrift store find and gift from a friend.
