Another entry into my exploits tracking the movements of the sun. I know it is up to something, I just haven proven what yet.

My Hasselblad, a pair of 9 stop ND filters and a copy of A Clockwork Orange to pass the time.

I meant to go a full hour, but the light started to get too nice to the south, so I ended the exposure 2 minutes early. Not a big deal.

I have become a bit tired of following all the rules of time and space. So I have begun bending them, when I can. It is about to start happening a bit more often. This is, after all, something you see every day. You just have to look for it.

Gah, this one was a pain to work on. Let me tell you this, photographing through two 9-stop ND filters for an hour onto a piece of film does weird things to the color, particularly when you are photographing straight into the sun. But that is as far as I am going to get into that. Instead, I'm going to go out into the backyard and do some flower macro while said sun is still in the sky and let you enjoy this image.

It was an hour long exposure starting from sunrise, by the way.

A 15 minute exposure of the Salmon Street Fountain and the sun setting behind the city using a pair of 9 stop ND filters on my Hasselblad. Isn't it kind of crazy how something you think as being relatively still (the sun) shows more motion blur than something you think wouldn't be relatively still (the person sitting in the middle)? I like stuff like that. Makes me smile. Rewards my curiosity. Makes me more curious. A wonderful cycle. Much like the sun and the fountain and the passage of life between the two.

A roughly 30 minute exposure of the sun setting behind the Portland Building and the Ira Keller Fountain. In the midst of making this exposure a film crew set up right next to my camera to film a music video. Gave me something to watch while I passed the time. Then again, there is never a shortage of things to watch at this fountain.
