Avec sa queue en panache, sa silhouette gracieuse et son agilité, l’Écureuil roux attire la sympathie.
Strictement forestier et arboricole.

Son pelage varie du roux, gris-brun, brun foncé au noir, mis à part le ventre qui est toujours blanc.
En pelage d’hiver, ses oreilles portent un pinceau de poils bien visible et caractéristique.

With its plumed tail, graceful silhouette and agility, the Red Squirrel attracts sympathy.
Strictly forestry and arboreal.

Its coat varies from red, gray-brown, dark brown to black, apart from the belly which is always white.
In winter coat, its ears have a clearly visible and characteristic brush of hair.
