Toledo, Peoria & Western Railroad logo on the TP&W caboose at the Wheels O' Time Museum in Dunlap in north central Illinois. Interestingly, the line never connected to Toledo even though Toledo was part of the name of the railroad.

Illinois Terminal 1605 is an EMD GP-7 built in 1953 for the Illinois Terminal Railroad which was an electric interurban line. IT acquired it so they could remove the overhead wires and convert to diesel hauled freight service. It resides at the Illinois Railway Museum where I have photographed it often during visits to the museum over the years. This shot was taken on a bright sunlit day, October 1, 2022.

An Eagle trapped indoors peers at the sky though the windows wishing it could be up there soaring. Inside the now closed Octave Chanute Aerospace Museum at the decommissioned Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, IL. Upon the closure of the museum, the planes displayed at the museum were disbursed to other museums around the country or scrapped. This McDonnell Douglas GF-15A Eagle went to the Combat Air Museum in Topeka, Kansas.
