Red-rumped Parrot (Psephotus haematonotus) male

The same Parrot that was shown the other day. A few people questioned the name Red-rumped as the red doesn't show from the ventral view.

Adam's Needle (Yucca filamentosa)

For my 100 Flowers Project - 2025

Those of you who know the Yucca plants will be aware that the foliage is strong and sharply spiked. I have been trying to work out how I could get in close to get an image centred on one flower. Today I saw that I could push the foliage in one section aside to get the shot!
