These intriguing and talented spiders protect themselves from predators by hiding inside an impressively constructed, silk-seamed curled leaf that sits roughly at the middle of their web.
Each curled-leaf retreat, a miracle in itself.
Endemic to the eastern areas of this country. Genus Phonognatha, perhaps graeffei.
Female, 10 mm body length.

I like the cantilevers on this Sydney skyscraper.
Built as the AMP Centre in 1976, the building underwent a modernization redevelopment in 2018 - 21 which increased height and added office space.
The winning design was from architect 3XN and BVN was appointed Executive Architect to collaborate with 3XN and develop their design concept for construction.
QQT retains over 65% of the original structure (beams, columns, and slabs) and 95% of the original core, resulting in an embodied carbon saving of 12,000 tonnes.
The AMP Centre re-opened as Quay Quarter Tower 2022. Stands at a height of 216 m with 54 floors.

This time of year, I sometimes see these little visitors inside my house.
A snake-eyed skink, just 5 cm from head to tip of tail.
This one I came upon, chilling on my daughter's bed. It looked very relaxed and didn't move while I took a couple of shots.
I may not have little children to read bedtime stories to, or sing nighttime lullabies to anymore - now I have little lizards!

This beautiful pair I believe are genus Psilogramma, perhaps species casuarinae, the Australian privet hawkmoth.
Large moths, with a wingspan that can exceed 10 cm. The bigger female is at top.
