Arachtober 21
These restless and speedy ant-mimic spiders in family Corinnidae are ground dwelling. They live around and eat ants, mimicking their behaviour and sometimes even their chemical traits.
An unexpected and rushed image with camera settings far from perfect, deep depth of field - I was busy photographing a botanical subject - hope there is enough detail for viewers to enjoy.
Genus Leichhardteus.

Lifting a rock, I saw this spider that promptly took off at lightning speed and I managed just one shot as it ran for fresh and safe cover.
It is genus Leichhardteus, within family Corinnidae. Going by the pedipalp visible, perhaps a male.
Mainly a leaf litter vagrant hunter found along our eastern coast from mid-north Queensland, through New South Wales and down in to Victoria.
No more than 10 mm body length.
