Curious creature belonging to the Uropygi order of arachnids. Also commonly known as whip scorpions for their resemblance to true scorpions.
Vinegaroon refers to their ability to discharge an offensive, vinegar-smelling liquid, which contains acetic acid.
Although endemic to tropical regions, they are not present here in Australia naturally, this one being at the Australian Reptile Park.
Around 60 mm body length.
