A comparison between the first injection (above) and the second (below).
The first had a certain dynamic character with the "columns of light" visibly moving. In the second, however, the static component was predominant, considerably more extensive in the middle latitudes. The latter was closer to the description of the SAR whose distinctive characteristics are the east-west extension from horizon to horizon and emission only in the oxygen line at 630 nm with minimal structural brightness changes for a long time.
The concomitance of a normal aurora with a SAR is therefore probable.
