After a fantastic week swimming in the wonderful waters of Sardinia we are now staying at Ulassai among these stunning limestone cliffs. Waltzing in Blue is by the Mark Lanegan Band, and Sardinia has been an amazing blue waltz, with temperatures over 40 C.

I'm back home now after a wonderful six weeks summer adventure in Italy. I've started editing some of the videos of mountain biking and snorkelling , and am in a Ska/Reggae mode, so Guns of Navarone by The Skatalites is fine for this shot of Ulassai in Sardinia. I really loved the limestone landscapes in Sardinia, truly spectacular cliffs. Once the children return to school, I needy to go down the coast again for more beach fun. I've been so lucky in such a strange year to have a fantastic trip.

A shot where I was in a hot Sardinian dream of steepling limestone cliffs and soaring cracks. It was as far removed from my usual dream locations as possible, yet somehow felt familiar through the warm limestone.

I haven't been on Flickr for quite a while, I think with all the madness in Ukraine, and Covid etc photography seemed a bit less important. I have had an exciting few weeks though as I had a. trip to Italy and ten days in Sardinia. Sardinia was fantastic, so verdant and overflowing with flowers in such a. dramatic landscape. I especially love Limestone cliffs, and Sardinia has a seemingly endless area of them . This is deep within Goroppu gorge, a magical place. Demons is by The National.
