Damit schon ab Ende April Erdbeeren aus eigenem Anbau angeboten werden können, wird ein Teil der Erdbeeren in Tunneln produziert. Sobald im Februar die Sonne raus kommt , wird es im Tunnel richtig schön warm. Die Pflanzen treiben demzufolge früher aus und die Erdbeerernte kann somit auch früher beginnen.
Das Aufbauen der Tunnel macht sehr viel Arbeit. Erst werden mit einem Hydraulikmotor Anker in den Boden gedreht. Dann werden die Rohrbögen aufgestellt. An einem windstillen Tag wird die Folie über die Bögen gezogen. Jetzt zieht man eine Schnur kreuzweise über die Folie, die dann an den Ankern befestigt wird.

So that we can offer home-grown strawberries from the end of April, some of the strawberries are grown in tunnels. As soon as the sun comes out in February, it gets really warm in the tunnel. The plants therefore sprout earlier and the strawberry harvest can start earlier.
Building the tunnels is a lot of work. First, anchors are screwed into the ground using a hydraulic motor. Then the pipe arches are set up. On a windless day, the film is pulled over the arches. Now a string is pulled crosswise over the film, which is then attached to the anchors.
